Jehovah’s Witnesses invite the public in Budapest to two special events presenting the Bible’s promises of a better future.
On Thursday evening, April 2, 2026, the annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal will take place. As part of the event, a talk will explain what Jesus taught about the future of mankind.
“Jesus’ life and teachings continue to influence millions of people around the world today. Christians have been observing this memorial regularly for nearly two thousand years. We hope that the program will help those interested understand the connection between the Lord’s Evening Meal and our hope for the future,” said Igor Bakurek, regional spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
As part of the campaign, Jehovah’s Witnesses will also distribute invitations to a special public talk titled “Who Will Restore the Earth?” This program will also be held in the spring of 2026 in more than 118,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide.
The 30-minute presentation explains what the Bible teaches about:
- the relationship between humans and the Earth,
- the future restoration of the Earth,
- and how the promises found in the Bible will be fulfilled.
Nearly two thousand years ago, in 33 C.E., on the 14th day of the Jewish month of Nisan, Jesus introduced the Lord’s Evening Meal with his disciples and instructed them: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19). Jehovah’s Witnesses follow this command every year, strengthening their faith in the Bible’s promise of a restored and peaceful Earth. Last year more than 21 million people attended the event worldwide.
Further information about the programs and the exact locations can be found on the jw.org website (About Us > Memorial).
All events are free of charge and open to the public.
