A huge thank you to the students of the Budapest British International School who volunteered this afternoon on Döbrentei Street! They tirelessly helped fill and stack sandbags for several hours, and their hard work is truly exemplary.
The young volunteers filled nearly 800 bags and moved more than 25 m³ of sand. These bags will be distributed to local residents who are protecting their apartments or basement-level spaces in buildings along the Danube from flooding.
A huge recognition to them and their teachers for the outstanding work!
