National Restaurant Week begins on Thursday and runs until March 29. During the event, around 250 restaurants across the country will offer multi-course menus at fixed prices.
According to a statement sent to MTI by the organizers, menus representing the very best of the participating restaurants’ offerings will be available starting from 6,900 HUF at top-category restaurants, 8,900 HUF at premium restaurants, and 10,900 HUF at exclusive-category venues, with the service charge included.
The statement emphasizes that menu prices have not increased compared to last year. Some participating restaurants will also provide an even wider selection of dishes for guests for a small additional surcharge. Reservations at the selected restaurants can be made exclusively through the website www.etteremhet.hu.
Including the reservation period, 252 top restaurants nationwide have joined the spring edition of National Restaurant Week, the organizers note. They highlight that many of the participants are featured in the Top 100 lists of Hungarian gastronomic publications, and 16 of them hold international Michelin recommendations.
For the first time this year, Time Out Market Budapest has also joined the DiningCity initiative. The gastronomic and cultural hub located in the Corvin Palace building on Blaha Lujza Square features new culinary concepts from renowned chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants, including Jenő Rácz and Tiago Sabarigo. The Market will prepare special dishes at accessible prices for National Restaurant Week.
According to the statement, restaurants participating in National Restaurant Week will once again prepare dishes using carefully selected ingredients, ranging from truffles and Argentine beef steak to lobster. Guests with special dietary needs will also find suitable options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free dishes. In addition to classic Hungarian cuisine, the event will feature flavors from Italian, French, Lebanese, Indian, Japanese, Georgian, Mexican, and Moroccan cuisines.
